Michelle is a designer and creative director based in Tasmania, Australia.
With a background in performing arts and a Bachelor of Design (Fashion) from RMIT University, Michelle’s interest lies in participatory design - her work straddling event design, live art and costume for both commercial and cultural outcomes.
She currently collaborates with her partner, social theorist and digital artist, David Patman as a founding member of UC, a collaborative devoted to exploring the unconscious dynamics of people and places, designing interactive experiences, experiments and installations in a variety of settings.
She is also one half of Brustman+Boyde, with Danielle Brustman, an interdisciplinary art and design duo working between interior design and fashion creating installation and interiors by commission, and limited edition collections of ‘things for living in’ exploring the concepts of ‘gesamkuntswerk’ (total artwork).
